They had a lovely ritual every time they received an order which was to ring a bell they had. Not some small bell but one of those ship bell, brass and substantial.
It made me laugh at the time and it came into my head this morning as I opened my email and found an order for my new online course, Creating the Everyday Sacred through Your 6 Senses.
I don't have the brass ship bell but I do have a Tibetan bowl which I love so I rang that instead.
I rang it for 3 reasons:
Thanks to my wonderful customer
Thanks to the technology that has made this possible
Thanks that I listened.
By that I mean I'm deeply thankful that I listened to all the nudges that came to me from what I call Spirit. You may call it the Divine, God or the Mystery. It doesn't really matter what reverent name we call that energy that creates everything.
It's so easy to dismiss those gut feelings, and images in our heads, and snatches of words or music.
When we listen, really listen and then act upon those ideas that come from the creative source, magic happens.
In my case the magic of a course that just came together like I knew beforehand how to do it but hadn't realised.
So my heart is bursting with as much joy as the bird singing above my head and I encourage you to listen to all those whispers from Spirit you might be ignoring.
Listen and who knows what wonderful something is waiting to come into the world through you.
